The month of March began with anticipation and excitement as we geared up for the inaugural edition of India Giving Day (IGD), a celebration of the gift of giving. Celebrated this year on the 2nd of March, India Giving Day is a one-of-its-kind fundraising initiative by the India Philanthropy Alliance (IPA), a US-based coalition of leading India-focused nonprofits.
We were overwhelmed to see so many generous global citizens come together to support our cause. Donations were matched by Rural India Supporting Trust (RIST), the Lead Sponsor for the event. We are thrilled to announce that the donations we received will enable 218 families to have reliable access to safe drinking water for the next 10 years!
Thanks to your generous support, we feel more confident than ever that we are well on our way to changing millions of lives through the power of safe water and the opportunities that flow from it.
We are grateful for every single donation - large or small - and that so many of you reached out to your communities, friends and networks and built an extraordinary momentum for this movement.
